Part IV

NBCE Examinations Section

The NBCE practical examination is administered twice each year, in May and November at chiropractic college test sites throughout the United States.

The NBCE Part IV Examination tests individuals in three major areas:

  • x-ray interpretation and diagnosis
  • chiropractic technique
  • case management

Results of the Part IV Examination may be used by state licensing authorities in lieu of other practical examinations for licensure. The NBCE Part IV Examination is administered in May and November of each year.

Certificate of Attainment

Following successful completion of Part I, Part II, Part III, and Part IV, examinees receive a Certificate of Attainment free of charge from the NBCE. The NBCE issues a separate certificate upon successful completion of the Physiotherapy Examination.

Certificate recipients may, for an additional fee, order an engraved plaque. (See picture here.) Order forms for this purpose are included with examinee grade letters. Examinees must observe order-form deadlines on this limited offer.
