NBCE Examinations Section

The Acupuncture Examination is an elective, computer-based examination that consists of 200 multiple-choice questions, divided into two sessions of 100 questions each. The examination is offered six times per year at computerized testing centers throughout North America.

The Acupuncture Examination includes:

  • History/Philosophy of Acupuncture in a Chiropractic Setting
  • Organs, Qi and Fluid
  • Channels/Pathways
  • Acupoints
  • Acupuncture Techniques
  • Basic Treatment Tenets/Protocols
  • Safety and Hygiene

Acupuncture Certificate

Following successful completion of the Acupuncture Exam, the NBCE issues a certificate free of charge. Certificate recipients may, for an additional fee, order an engraved plaque. (See picture here.) Order forms for this purpose are included with examinee grade letters. Examinees must observe order-form deadlines on this limited offer.
